Tour Terms and Conditions
Payment
A non-refundable deposit of $500 AUD is payable on booking.
• Payment can be made by instalments with the first instalment of 45% due by 10 September 2023
• The second instalment is due by 10 December 2023
• Full payments must be made in full by 1 February 2024.
Inclusions
• Two meals per day eg breakfast and dinner or breakfast and lunch, some beverages during meals and 15% gratuity at special restaurants.
• Accommodation at boutique 4-5 star hotels
• Entry to gardens, parks and cultural institutions visited on the tour
• Internal travel from 8 May from Los Angeles, finishing in San Francisco on 20 May 2024.
Physical Fitness
The tour requires a reasonable level of physical fitness for example, being able to walk unaided for 5-7 km per day on uneven terrain. Participants are to confirm they are at the appropriate fitness level and have appropriate insurances.
Exclusions
Airfares, some US taxes on accommodation, personal spending, some tips transfers to and from your home and to and from the LA airport to the hotel.
Liability agreement
The operator, Outlandish Pty Ltd, (Outlandish) nor its contractors, assumes no liabilities for injuries, losses and incidents/accidents incurred or changes in the itinerary beyond our control.
Tour Cancellation - Medical
Your health and safety is our highest priority. Outlandish is mindful of the health risks posed by COVID-19, and the importance of following official medical advice with respect to social distancing, practicing good hygiene. If, on medical grounds, you are unable to travel you must cancel your in-person attendance in writing by email to: info@landscapeconference.com.
• For a cancellation on medical grounds, you will need to ensure your insurance covers the cost of your flights and tour.
Cancellation – Refund
• Should you cancel your participation by 1 November 2023, a full refund minus the $500 deposit will be provided.
• Should you cancel after 1 November, 2023 to 10 January 2024, a 50% refund (of the amount you have paid) will be provided.
• From 11 January 2024, refunds will be on a a case by case basis.
• Participants will not be refunded for aspects of the tour they do not undertake ie not attending a dinner or visit to a cultural institution.
Cancelation of the Tour – Forced Majeure.
Outlandish may cancel or postpone the tour due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, such as those considered as forced majeure including but not limited to Acts of God, terrorism, war, strikes or industrial action, fire, explosion, inevitable accident, breakdown of property, changes in law, or pandemics or global health crises. Due to the nature of the event, it may be reasonable to postpone the event to a later year and/or to change the location of the tour
In the event the tour is not able to proceed as planned and is moved; your participation may be transferred to an alternative another time. If you are unable to attend on the alternative dates, Outlandish will refund 80% of tour fees up to 10 March 2024. From 11 March, 2024, a maximum of 60% of the tour fees will be refunded.
In the event of postponement of the tour, and you advise that you are able to attend the rescheduled tour, Outlandish will transfer the booking and guarantee the same conditions and equivalent entitlements (subject to reasonable modification and availability) at the rescheduled tour. This will be subject to the Exchange rate which may vary the price. Should this be the case, you will be informed of any price changes.
If, at a later date, you then choose not to attend the rescheduled tour, your cancellation will be subject to the new Terms and Conditions of the rescheduled tour.
In the event of a full cancellation of the tour, you will be entitled to 85% refund of the amount of the tour fee received, up to 11 March 2024.
The maximum liability of Outlandish under these Terms and Conditions is limited to a refund of the tour with no additional liability for flights, hotel costs, or any other associated costs.
COVID-19 Compliance
All participants will be required to comply with the COVID Safety Guidelines and protocols in place with the venues visited and the tour will be aligned and compliant with all relevant government health advice at that time.
By registering for this event, Outlandish reserves the right to provide your contact details to authorities for the purposes of contact tracing and any other relevant government requirements. Details of the protocols and requirements will be available to participants and you will be bound by these requirements. Outlandish reserves the right to update the COVID protocols to ensure the health and safety of participants, including but not limited to event entry requirements. Participants may be excluded if they do not comply with the requirements of the COVID Safety Guidelines and Protocols.
Insurance
Participants must secure appropriate travel and health insurance and provide a copy of their certificate to Outlandish by 10 April, 2024.
The tour cost does not include any such insurance coverage. Outlandish accepts no responsibility for any loss in this regard.
Tax - All fees are quoted in Australian Dollars. GST at 10% is excluded
Disclaimer
By registering, participants acknowledge and consent that during their attendance at the tour their image or voice may be recorded via video, photograph or by any other means (“recorded”) by an officer or official of Outlandish which may be distributed or published at the discretion of the Outlandish. If you do not wish to be recorded, you are required to formally advise the Outlandish by 1 March. 2024 by emailing info@landscapeconference.com
